About Us
Hillel of Rockland, founded in Fall 1998, offers Jewish teens and young adults of all backgrounds a comfortable, accepting space in which to explore their identity as they navigate their unique individual journey. Although Hillel is based at Rockland Community College, it operates on a broader scale, serving both current RCC students and recent alumni, as well as college-age Jewish young adults who are either enrolled at other colleges or are not currently in college.
Hillel brings young adults together to celebrate being Jewish with a robust array of programs and services both on and off campus throughout the year, including holiday and Shabbat celebrations, guest lecturers, leadership training, outdoor adventures, concerts, films, hands-on workshops, Israel advocacy, interactions with Holocaust survivors, study groups, Birthright Israel trips, and much more.
