During Mendy’s time on campus, he served on the Hillel student board as recruiter, vice president and president. We sat down with Mendy, who is now a video production expert in Rockland County, to ask him a few questions.
What is your number one Jewish holiday and why?
Pesach. I'm all about family time.
The best thing about Hillel?
Everyone who joins feels like they belong. Fitting in means you have to change yourself but belonging is being accepted as you are.
Coolest character in the Bible?
Aaron. Bringing peace into the world is so underrated.
Favorite Jewish food?
Kugel by a very long shot.
One lesson you’ve learned from Corona?
People can do unimaginable things when under pressure.
Fun Fact?
One is more likely to win the mega millions then be born Jewish.
Message to current RCC students?
You're not running a race, it's a marathon. So pace yourself and remember - take it in, enjoy it, and above all, you can make lifelong friends, so remember to be super social!
