Q & A with Sara Meisels

How did you get involved with Hillel?
I was introduced to Hillel at a very difficult time in my life. I had been struggling with several emotional health issues. Hillel invited me in with open arms! I felt so welcomed and loved. I was able to come out of my shell and be the fun, spunky girl that I am! I have never felt more included and loved as when I am with Hillel.

What’s it like being President of Hillel?
I am honored! Being president has given me a place at RCC and a way to get to know more students. I love being with people, and the weekly club events are the highlight of my week. I also love the energy that Hillel spreads. It gives me joy to see everyone having fun at the events and making lifelong friends..

Who’s your vote for Hillel mascot and why?
Harmony, my puppy! Harmony is the cutest, sassiest girl ever. She comes with me to Hillel events and is the LIFE of the PARTYYY!

How has Hillel impacted your life?
I have felt more connected to Judaism than ever since joining Hillel. I always have a place for a Shabbos meal. Hillel makes you feel cared for and loved, and that has been such an amazing experience.
